Sorano, a small village in southern Italy, has been the inspiration for the HANWHA RESORTS/SEORAK SORANO. It was built as a high quality resort with Tuscan style architecture. Robert A. M. Stern, a renowned architect, designed Sorano by stylizing the red roof and arch structures. It calls to mind an exotic vacation spot. At the entrance of the resort, he created a romantic atmosphere by implementing a tiny European garden with cypress trees, fountains, and sculptures. Overall, the low-rise and long-established Seorak Sorano boasts harmony of nature and man-made structure, with the magnificence of Mt. Seorak and the serenity of the wide spreading East Sea. In addition, the resort has various leisure facilities including a water playground, WATERPIA; and a golf course, PLAZA CC SEORAK.
